Gualchos is a small and friendly village, situated in Andalucia in the province of Granada, with a population of approximately 500 people, 355 mts above sea level and 7 Kms from the Mediterranean coast and its closest neighbouring town of Castell de Ferro. It is approximately 80 Kms from the capital Granada, with its International Airport, Alhambra Palace and famous Sierra Nevada Ski Resort. The average all year around temperature oscilates between 18-25 ºC. It is a hill village very typical of the region with a supermarket, bakery, post office, small chemist, church, school and typical doctors consulting rooms.
There is even a regular fresh fish delivery service. Motril, the nearest big town with its grand choice of supermarkets, general stores, car showrooms, boutiques, etc, is only 14 Kms away over the hills. The International Airports of Málaga and Almería are oscillates 1 1/2 hrs drive away.
